Need a driving instructor in Etobicoke? Ezee Driving School has been helping Etobicoke drivers earn their licences since 2006. Our MTO-certified instructors teach private, one-on-one lessons for the G2 and G road tests, and we know the roads around the Etobicoke DriveTest centre on Eglinton Avenue West well.

Etobicoke is where Ezee started, and it's still one of the areas we serve most. From the lakeshore neighbourhoods of Mimico and Long Branch to Rexdale and the Kingsway in the north, we teach on the same roads you'll drive every day. That local knowledge helps you feel prepared, not surprised, when your test starts.

Why Etobicoke drivers trust Ezee

  • Close to the Etobicoke test centre. Our car-for-road-test service covers the Etobicoke DriveTest centre, so you can practise and test in the same area.
  • Private lessons with certified instructors. Every lesson is one-on-one with an MTO-certified instructor, and the full 45 minutes is focused on you.
  • Honest advice, no packages. Pay per lesson. We recommend more lessons only if you need them.
  • Patient teaching. Our students often mention how calm and encouraging their instructor was, especially nervous first-time drivers.
  • Weekend and 7-day availability with pick-up and drop-off in most of Etobicoke.

Driving lessons we offer in Etobicoke

G2 test preparation

We build the basics first: steering control, smooth braking, proper stops and scanning. Then we move to the skills examiners focus on, including left turns from side streets onto busy roads, lane changes with shoulder checks, school zones and parking manoeuvres. By test day, the checklist is a habit.

G test preparation

Etobicoke sits right next to Highways 427, 401 and the Gardiner Expressway. That makes it one of the best places in Toronto to practise expressway entrances, merging into fast traffic, lane changes at speed and safe exits, which are all central to the full G road test.

Newcomers to Canada

Already licensed abroad? Our intensive newcomer program, often about five days, focuses on Ontario-specific rules and defensive driving habits so you can take your road test with confidence.

Booster lessons

Short on time before your test? Booster lessons target your weak points and run you through the type of driving you'll face on the test.

  • School zones and community safety zones near Centennial Park.
  • Nearby on-ramps to Highways 427 and 401, especially relevant for G tests.

Tips for passing your road test in Etobicoke

  • Choose your gap carefully. Turning onto busy roads like Eglinton Avenue West needs patience. Wait for a safe gap and don't feel pressured by cars behind you.
  • Slow down in school zones. Etobicoke has many schools and parks with reduced speed limits. Watch for signs and flashing lights.
  • Check your blind spots every time. Missed shoulder checks are one of the most common reasons students lose marks. Make it automatic for every lane change and turn.
  • Prepare for expressway merging (G test). On Highways 427 and 401, match the speed of traffic before merging and leave a safe space cushion.
  • Practise parking until it's easy. Parallel parking, roadside stops and three-point turns can all appear on your test. We practise them until they're smooth.

Driving in Etobicoke: what makes it unique

Etobicoke combines quiet residential streets with some of Toronto's busiest highways. Lakeshore Boulevard brings streetcars and cyclists in the south, while the north has wide arterials and industrial areas with large trucks. Learning here means you're exposed to almost every kind of driving situation Ontario has, which makes you a safer driver for life, not just on test day.
