Ezee Driving School provides professional driving lessons throughout Scarborough. Whether you're preparing for your G2 or G road test, our MTO-certified instructors offer patient, one-on-one training tailored to your experience level. We help students build confidence while practising on local roads and the kinds of streets used on common test routes.

Scarborough is one of the best places in Toronto to learn to drive, and one of the most demanding. You get quiet residential streets for your first lessons, busy six-lane arterials like Sheppard Avenue East and Kingston Road once you're ready, and quick access to Highway 401 for G test preparation. Since 2006, Ezee has helped new drivers, newcomers to Canada and nervous learners turn that mix of roads into a first-attempt pass.

Why Scarborough learners choose Ezee Driving School

  • One-on-one lessons only. Every lesson is private. Your instructor watches your driving for the full 45 minutes, not a group.
  • MTO-certified instructors. We correct your driving using the same marking criteria DriveTest examiners use, so nothing on test day comes as a surprise.
  • Pay as you go. We don't push packages. After your first lesson we assess your skills and recommend only the lessons you need.
  • Pick-up and drop-off. We can collect you from home, school or work in Scarborough. Call to confirm your area.
  • 7 days a week, including weekends. Weekend classes suit students and shift workers.
  • Modern Toyota Corolla training car. Light steering, great visibility and full air conditioning make learning easier.

Driving lessons for every stage of your Ontario licence

G2 road test preparation

The G2 test checks your control of the car and your awareness in normal city traffic. We focus on the skills examiners mark most often: full stops at stop signs, shoulder checks before every lane change and turn, safe gaps when turning left, speed control in school zones and smooth parallel and roadside parking. Lessons start on calm streets near your home and build up to busier Scarborough intersections.

G road test preparation

The full G test adds expressway driving. Scarborough gives us direct access to Highway 401 through interchanges such as Markham Road, Morningside Avenue and Meadowvale Road. We practise merging at speed, choosing safe gaps, lane changes in heavy traffic and exiting smoothly, until highway driving feels routine.

Newcomers to Canada

Many of our Scarborough students already drive in another country. Our newcomer program is an intensive, focused course of in-car defensive training (often completed in about five days) that adapts your existing skills to Ontario rules and examiner expectations, such as right-of-way at four-way stops, right turns on red and how to behave around school buses.

Refresher and confidence lessons

Haven't driven in years, or feel anxious behind the wheel? We go at your pace. Instructors are known for staying calm and patient, which is why many of our nervous learners recommend us to family and friends.

Road test centres near Scarborough

Most Scarborough students take their road test at one of two DriveTest centres:

  • Toronto Port Union at 91 Rylander Blvd, Unit 109A, in east Scarborough. Routes around here often include fast suburban roads like Sheppard Avenue East and Rylander Boulevard, long residential stretches with several four-way stops, and quick access to the 401.
  • Toronto Metro East at 1448 Lawrence Ave E, Unit 15, near the North York and East York border. Expect heavy traffic on Lawrence Avenue East and narrow side streets with parked cars on both sides.

We prepare you for the kinds of roads and situations found around both centres. If you'd like to use our car for your road test, see our fees page and call us to arrange it for your test location.

Tips for passing your road test in Scarborough

  • Watch your speed on wide roads. Roads like Sheppard Avenue East and Kingston Road feel wide and open, and it's easy to creep over the limit. Examiners notice. Check your speedometer often, especially when the limit changes near schools and parks.
  • Own the four-way stop. Scarborough residential areas have many all-way stops. Come to a complete stop behind the line, take turns in the order cars arrived, and yield to the right if two cars arrive together.
  • Plan your highway merges (G test). On the 401, speed up on the ramp to match traffic, signal early, shoulder check and merge smoothly. Don't stop on the ramp unless traffic forces you to.
  • Look out for pedestrians and buses. Busy TTC routes and plaza entrances mean people step out often. Cover your brake and scan both sides at every crosswalk.

Our instructors build all of these habits into your lessons, so you're not trying to remember a checklist on test day. You'll just be driving the way you've practised.
